The APSC board has released APSC CCE Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2020 along with the recruitment notification on the 8th of September. The candidates must have started their preparations by now and if not then it’s time to start. It is very essential for the aspirants to check the APSC CCE Syllabus and Exam Pattern before starting their preparations. 

  • The candidates will have to go through the selection process which includes, Prelims, Mains and Personal Interview.

APSC CCE Exam Pattern 2020 For Prelims

The APSC CCE Prelims exam will be conducted soon which will be a total of 400 marks. Those candidates who will qualify the Prelims examination will be qualified for the Main examination which will be 11 to 12 times the number of vacancies available. 

  • There will be a total of 400 questions asked in the Prelims paper and each correct answer will be marked with +1 mark. 
  • For every incorrect answer marked, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks. 
  • To calculate the marks, count the number of answers marked correctly and count the number of answers marked incorrectly. 
  • Multiply 0.25 with the number of answers marked incorrectly and then subtract from the number of correct answers. 
  • Approximate marks = Number of correct answers marked – 0.25 X number of incorrect answers marked.

APSC CCE Exam Pattern 2020 for Mains 

The APSC CCE Main Exam 2020 will be conducted soon after the Prelims results will be released. After the candidates have qualified the Main examination, candidates will be called for the Interview round. The main examination consists of written examination and Interview.

  • Paper A (300 marks- 3Hours duration)- any one of the languages from Assamese, Bengali, Bodo. Candidates from Dima Hasao, Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts who have not studied any of these languages in school shall be exempted from appearing for this Paper A. 
  • Paper B- English (300 marks- 3Hours duration) 

Note: 

  1. The marks obtained in these two papers shall not be counted for determining the final order of merit.
  2. The minimum qualifying marks in Paper ‘A’ and Paper ‘B’ will be 25%.
