IBPS PO Prelims Syllabus

The IBPS PO Prelims Exam is of 100 marks paper divided into three parts.

  • English Language: 30 Questions
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Questions
  • Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions

The new exam pattern that was introduced in 2019 has included a few subjects in each section that wasn’t present in the IBPS PO syllabus earlier.

IBPS PO Syllabus for Mains

The syllabus for both the Prelims & Mains examinations is mainly common for English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.

IBPS PO Interview

It is important to note that the IBPS PO Interview is not a comprehensive examination on any specific subject. It is recommended to concentrate on general awareness and knowledge of current events and crucial aspects of finance when getting ready for your Probationary Officer Interview.

The Interview is for 100 marks. At least marks of 40% (35% for PWD, SC/ST/OBC/SC) are required to pass for the Interview stage. The final score will be based on the marks received during the Interview + Mains, and they will be calculated as a 20:80 ratio. (ie 20% from Interview & 80% from Mains Exam)
